How to Automate Ecourse Sending Using an Autoresponder?

What is an ecourse?

An ecourse is an 'electronic course' received as a series of emails by subscribers.

Usually it will be focused on a single topic and the whole content in the ecourse is divided into short snippets. Each snippet goes in one email and goes at set interval by the email marketer. Ex: You can send an ecourse named 'How to Optimize Your web site for Search engines in 7 days'. You can write the whole content under different subheadings like 'Your Title and Meta keywords', 'Six Internal linking strategies', 'Secrets of External linking strategies' etc. You send each subtopic in one email.

You can send the whole ecourse in seven days or ten days or the time that suits your marketing. But remember don't keep much gap between the messages. Messages every 2 - 3 days work better than messages every 7 days as the subscriber keeps forgetting about the content in previous emails.

How to automate the ecourse sending?

In forums webmasters ask on how to send ecourse using cPanel autoresponders. cPanel autoresponders are single time emails. If anybody send an email to an email address, cPanel sends back an autoreply with the content you saved. That is it! You can not send a series of messages using cPanel autoresponders.

But if your intention is to send the whole ecourse in one time, then cPanel autoresponders will work for you. Just load the whole ecourse in one autoreply or create an eBook from the ecourse and attach it to the autoreply message.

What if you want to send the ecourse as a series of messages at specified interval?

For this you need a software called follow up autoresponder. You can buy your own and install it on your site or you can opt-in into any autoresponder service by third parties.

Steps to follow: Once you have your autoresponder set up, upload each subtopic of the ecourse into each email. Use the subtopic heading as your email subject line. Save the messages with the specified time inteval between them. Once you set up these messages, copy and paste the subscription form code on your site.

For the messages to go at specified interval, you need to set up cron jobs in your cPanel. When cron runs, your autoresponder sends these messages to the subscribers.

So to automate ecoure sending, you need a functioning follow up autoresponder with the ecourse messages loaded at specified interval. Ofcourse a subscription form on your web site for your visitors to subscribe!

Just a little tip before ending... Don't forget to keep an unsubscribe link in your ecourse emails. You don't want your subscribers to complain about you to your host that you are spamming him.

Automate Your Internet Marketing With An Autoresponder

How would you like to send out all of the information that your potential customers want without having to check your email or answering your phone? Nowadays, more and more internet marketers are doing just that thanks to the invention of the autoresponder.

An autoresponder is a method of automatically responding to the emails that your existing or potentials customers send and it is an absolute must for anyone in the internet marketing business.

It takes a lot of your valuable time to personally answer emails; time better spent doing more productive things to increase your bottom line. Autoresponders not only let you spend your time on other areas of your business but they allow your customers to get the information they want almost instantly.

Autoresponders have so many different uses that virtually any business will find them to be of value. Some marketers like to use them for answering frequently asked questions about their product or service. Some use them to answer questions about product information and pricing. You can also use them to welcome your new website members.

Why use an autoresponder instead of just listing your information on you site? Well, one of their features is that they will notify you by email every time a response is sent out. You can use this to track the success or failure of your promotions. You will also have the email addresses of your potential customers handy so you can follow-up with them and send them new information.

It is very important to choose a reliable and professional autoresponder service. It should allow you to automatically add personalizations such as the person's first name. It should allow you to send out follow-up emails because the more often a customer hears from you; the more likely they are to eventually buy.

It may take as many as seven follow-ups before the potential customer actually buys from you. Usually your advertisement ought to be brief and to the point. But, in this instance, the person has requested the specific information as so a good autoresponder will let you have as much text on the page as you want. The service which you pick should give automatic updates, free of charge, to their customers.

Fortunately, an autoresponder won't cost you very much money. The ability to automatically respond to your emails will make your life much easier and it will help to increase traffic to your website while you relax.

Internet Marketing Beginners - What Is An Autoresponder?

What is an auto responder was one of the first questions I had when just starting out as an Internet Marketer. I had literally no idea what an autoresponder was, even though I kept hearing it and more importantly, I kept hearing just how important it was! Now before we go on I just want to make it clear that this article is written purely for those who want to become internet marketers and seriously build an online business, but are absolute beginners. So I will talk about the business benefits also in this article.

So, what is an autoresponder? An auto responder is a web based service. There are many auto-responder services and companies out there on the internet, so pricing for this service is also pretty competitive, which is obviously great news for consumers like us. At its most basic level, the autoresponder will collect personal details (usually name and email) through an opt in box (more on that in second) and store them all in one place for you. Then I think the name gives away the next step. It will automatically respond (via email) to every single person who inputs their name and email address into the opt in box. This of course takes a huge work load off you and helps to make your business more automatic. The automatic responses that get sent out will be pre-written, usually by yourself. So that means you write an email one time, and it gets sent out every time somebody opts in.

What is an opt in box? OK, now we will have to get a little bit more technical, but don't worry, anybody can learn this bit. Your auto-responder service provider will enable you to make your own opt-in box to collect whatever information you desire. It will then generate some html code for you to input into your website. Once you have placed the html code into the correct place in your website, the opt-in box will appear and become functional.

Why do you even need to collect people's emails? There are a few important reasons. But it works like this. If you look after everybody on your email list, they will pay you, period. If you supply them with valuable free content and information, be available to answer any pressing questions and just give as much to them as you possibly can, then they will like you, trust you and buy from you. You must have heard the phrase by know "the money is in the list"? Well this is your list and if you look after them, the money will follow.

That is pretty much it, in a nutshell. I try to often remind people who are making the move over to making money online to not be out off by all these new term, phrases and seemingly endless things to learn. Making money online is VERY achievable. It's like any other new business. Work hard, get involved with the right people, work a bit harder, then you will reap the benefits, good luck!

Autoresponders, Your Business, and the Internet

If you are just getting started in internet marketing for your business, you have probably been wondering how to manage email-marketing campaigns, without spending hours manually sending to your marketing list.

The simple solution that you might have heard about is to use what is known as an autoresponder.

An autoresponder is usually a third party software application or website, that you pay a low monthly fee to, who manages your email list, and sends your prewritten marketing emails, in sequence, to people who subscribe to your list.

That means that you can work out your marketing message in advance, upload the emails you want sent to your prospects in the order you would like them sent, and be sure that whenever someone joins your mailing list, they will receive your emails as you intended them to be sent.

Autoresponders also handle a lot of the administration involved in email marketing, such as handling unsubscribe notices, and allowing you to test different campaigns on different groups of people, and while they may cost a little extra every month, they're definitely well worth the expenditure!

The question many business owners, particularly those who are new to internet and email marketing have is why they should bother to use an autoresponder. Let us consider the facts. When you first launch your website, and decide to build a mailing list, you are probably not going to have that many people subscribing. However, if your internet marketing strategy is working, within a few months or weeks, your subscribers could have jumped from a few individuals, to hundreds, or even thousands of people.

If you are trying to manage the emails that you are sending to everyone on your list manually, you are going to need a complicated spreadsheet, which tells you who subscribed when, and which email they should be getting. You are going to have to create dozens, or even hundreds, of mailing lists, and send your prewritten emails to each one individually. That is a full time job right there!

By using an autoresponder, however, you take all the hard work out of email marketing, so that all you have to worry about is creating your campaigns, and enticing your prospects to sign up for your list. The autoresponder itself handles all the management of your campaigns from there on.

Of course, you may still be at the stage where you are wondering whether email marketing is an option for you, let alone whether you should invest in an autoresponder to market your campaign.

The answer is a resounding YES!

The most important difference between email marketing campaigns, with or without an autoresponder, is that they allow you to build a relationship with your potential customers. Instead of bombarding them with advertising (that they are likely to ignore anyway) you can send them emails with valuable information in them, and gradually build up trust. Once they trust you, experience shows that they are more likely to make a purchase.

Of course, doing all of this manually is time consuming, and that is why most business owners who are trying to handle their email marketing campaigns themselves fail - they simply do not have the time, or they lose interest.

Choosing an autoresponder service is often the very first step in automating your sales and email marketing in this way, and with so many options, that can be the trickiest part. Look for well-known services that offer the features you need. Consider trying a few of them out (many offer free or paid for trial periods) until you find the one that works for you. Even so, most autoresponders cost just a few dollars a month, so they are not likely to blow your budget!

Once you have found an autoresponder that works for you, consider running a few different campaigns, with test portions of your mailing list, until you find one that has the highest success rate. Once you have, you can implement it across all of your lists, and you will have an email marketing system that is completely automated, and that runs even when you are asleep, on holiday, or too busy to stay in touch with your clients and prospects!

Anyone who knows anything about business and marketing knows that staying in touch with your clients, even if it is just a gentle reminder that you are still around, or a particularly special offer from time to time, is the best way to turn possible sales into definite turnover. While that used to be time consuming, innovations like autoresponders and email marketing have made it simple, and they really do free you up to handle other things, whether it's your business, or some well deserved time off.

So if you are serious about building your business online, I would say that you definitely need to look into using the technology, like autoresponder services, that allow you to do that quickly and easily.

Build Your Autoresponder List to Build Your Online Business

Building an autoresponder list is very important to the foundation of your online business. Some marketers simply build lists with emphasis on the size of the list rather than on building the actual business itself.

It has to be said that building the list is only part of building the business. Building a responsive list of 1000 people will certainly beat a list of 10,000 people who are not responsive to your offers. So it makes sense to place the emphasis on the quality of your subscriber base rather than the quantity.

In this article I want to look at 3 very basic methods to help you arrive at a responsive autoresponder list.

1. Ask your subscribers what they want. You have worked to get people onto your list but let's face it you don't know exactly what it is that they need. If you sent them a 60 page book to get them to join your list then there is a high possibility that they still have questions that they need answers to.

How do you find out what these questions are so that you can answer them? Bear in mind that you can answer these questions for free or for a fee but you must know what they are first of all.

Asking your subscribers what they need gives them the understanding that you are open to listen to their opinions. They will tell you what they need and then what you need to do is to go and source or create it for them. Their opinions are really valuable to the success of your business so take them seriously.

2. Get to know your subscribers. Having some idea who is on your list and what niche they are in will help you get even more subscribers. Simply ask your list to recommend their friends or others in their niche. After all they are on your list and if you don't ask you don't get. They become a recruiting army for you and will often bring in others of like minds. These will be more responsive to your offers since you will be giving them what they want.

3. Be reasonable with the frequency at which you send e-mails. You need to be aware of how many emails you are sending t your subscribers as some people get easily offended if they receive more than 1 email a day.

This can easily happen if you have your autoresponder series emails and you also send out a broadcast. Lessen the impact by letting them know you'll be sending 2 or why you are doing it.

As much as you want to stay in touch with your subscribers you certainly don't want to send them to many e-mails. Otherwise they will switch off and stop opening your e-mails to read. Of course if they don't open your e-mails to read than they would not get to your promotion links inside your e-mails.

Try and keep your enthusiasm in check. Send them excellent information at a frequency of one e-mail a day or 2-3 emails a week. Of course this depends on the type of list you are building. If I belong to a list that was informing me of the latest PLR packages online then I wouldn't mind getting three e-mails a day because I would want to be one of the first to get my hands on those packages so that I could be one of the first to sell them.

I say that then to say the type of list you are building will inform the frequency of your e-mails.

Importance of Picking The Right Autoresponder

When it comes to any marketing online, it is vital that you have an autoresponder that is extremely reliable. Do not let all of your efforts go with no results to show for them. When someone lands on your web page, squeeze page or landing page, you want to get their contact information for further marketing campaigns. This is where your autoresponder comes into action and takes over for you automatically. You will set it up to automatically deliver messages on preset intervals on whatever it is that you are marketing.

Using a free autoresponder service is certainly better than not having one at all, but you need to realize that they will also be targeting your customers with their own advertisements. This could be costing you money instead of making you money, which is what the whole purpose of the autoresponder is there for. They also do not provide a lot of the important features that come with a paid service and that I think are needed for successful marketing.

There definitely are a lot of autoresponders to choose from, and it can be very confusing for someone just starting out with them. There are also as many opinions on them as well, just remember that old saying here "if it looks to good to be true" this is not where you want to be frugal.

I can only tell you from my own and successful experience with the autoresponder that I use, that other than your actual website this is by far your most important tool you will have in your arsenal.

Then of course we have that little thing called spam, if you are not aware of the spam laws I suggest you become familiar with them. Using the wrong autoresponder, one that allows you to spam people can get you into a lot of trouble, both legally and financially. I would highly recommend a double opt in type of autoresponder to avoid those problems altogether.

You want your email marketing and any other type of marketing you do to be successful, so why not save a lot of time and lost revenue and go with the number one autoresponder available today. You will not have to worry about them putting any of their ads on your site, and spam will no longer be a concern either. You can get started for just one dollar and get a one month trial and you can cancel at any time, check out the link on my site.

If you are really serious about getting started with internet marketing, and you are going to put a real effort into becoming successful. Then why not be rewarded for all of that hard work, it takes time to build a good solid list. You can compare a good list to a solid investment, every potential customer that you lose is like losing interest on your investment.

Building a list is not something that you can accomplish in a few days, it takes time. So start right from the beginning with the right tools and before to long your list will be steadily growing. As long as you are not sending people information that they do not want or need, you should see success starting to build. So do not abuse the opportunity to send your marketing advertisements, just use your autoresponder the way you are supposed to and be patient.

Wishing you great success, John Herron
